“The discipline to follow through and to keep going no matter what obstacles stand in your way.” In Unbeatable Mind author and Navy SEAL Mark Divine talks about how when we persevere, we either “find a way or make one”
This doesn’t mean that we can’t fail or have things go wrong. Rather it looks at the concept of failure. When you persevere, you don’t fail, you find another way, make your own way or learn how not to do something. By learning what doesn’t work and creating a new way, the process of trial and error is perseverance itself!
How to set ourselves up for success? By not accepting “failure.” If you’re not achieving a goal you set out to do, it’s time to reevaluate it and look at why. Think about how badly you want the win and go from there. Perhaps it’s a time issue that can be addressed with better organization. Maybe it’s an unrealistic goal for your resources right now. Whatever the case may be, once you TRULY commit to it, persevere and don’t give up! – Coach Tina
